Is it wrong for me to say that I hope some of the Mary Seacole Academy alumni pay Mr Liddle a visit? As a 2nd-gen immigrant of Caribbean descent, I took this personally.
Not only is his entire argument based on a lie about the statistics, but one of his supporters has left a column claiming that, in 2004-05, "Whites suffered 75,912 [racial] assaults [whereas] Blacks suffered 7,408 [racial] assaults".
Given that, last year, there were fewer than 5,000 racial assaults in the UK, those figures are dubious to start with.
If it's true that "Whites" did suffer more racial assaults than "Blacks", then I would imagine that it wasn't black on white violence, but violence by white British people against white eastern European people.
But it's probably all completely made up anyway. The commenter claims that they're Office of National Statistics figures, but Google for them, and the only website you'll find them on are... the BNP's.
